Travelers will agree: the world is a playground and there are many amazing destinations to explore. When you are planning an upcoming trip, how do you pick a city or state to visit? One option is to look to the people who are always in the skies: airline employees.

Pilots spend their time moving from one city to the next. They have seen many of the major cities in the United States because of the time they spend on layovers and traveling for pleasure. They can offer unique insights regarding the places to visit and things to do in these top destinations.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the most popular places pilots love to fly:

Boston

Do you want a mix of historical charm and the exhilarating experience of attending a Red Sox baseball game? Boston might be underrated, but it is one of the preferred places for experienced travelers to visit. As you are landing, look out the airplane window to see if you can find the Boston Harbor or Seaport District. It is a scenic view when the flight is approaching the city.
